Springhill Equine is proud to be one of North Central Florida’s only 24 hour Emergency Veterinary Clinics for horses. If you have a horse emergency, please call (352) 474-5007, leave a message, and the Doctor On-Call will respond as soon as possible. We guarantee a timely response to every emergency call.

Coverage Area

Our mobile veterinarians can come to your farm if you live within approximately 20 minutes of Newberry, Florida. If you live outside the area, or if you would like to save the trip charge, you can always haul in to our clinic. See below for map and address.

If you live in Newberry, Archer, Alachua, High Springs, or west Gainesville, you are within our emergency ambulatory range. Outside this range is case-dependant. We always accept haul-in patients at our Clinic, and depending on the nature of your emergency, it may be necessary for us to treat your animal at our Clinic rather than your farm or home.

We respond to any type of equine emergency:

  • Colic
  • Lacerations
  • Neurological behavior
  • Foaling problems
  • Injuries
  • Eye Ulcers

We have a great relationship with several regional referral hospitals in the event that major surgery is necessary, to include Equine Medical Center of Ocala, and the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Not sure if your situation is really an emergency or not?

Call us, and we’ll talk to you about it, free of charge. For the sake of the horse, it’s better to ask questions early than to seek treatment too late.
